Ramadan Celebration – Iftar evening hosted by Embassy of India, Bamako (24th March 2025)

The Embassy of India in Bamako hosted an Iftar on 24 March 2025 at the Chancery premises, bringing together over 100 distinguished guests to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan and further solidify the bonds of friendship between India and Mali.  

The event was graced by Ambassador Mahmoud M. Arby, Director General of the Asia & Oceania Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as the chief guest. Several other dignitaries, senior officials from various Malian government agencies, prominent businessmen, ITEC and ICCR alumni, members of the diplomatic corps in Bamako, Indophiles, and esteemed members of the Indian community in Mali also took part in the occasion.  

The evening commenced with warm greetings from the Ambassador-designate, Dr. N. Nandakumar, who extended heartfelt Ramadan wishes to the Government of Mali and thanked the guests for their participation. His remarks emphasized the values of harmony, solidarity, and mutual respect that bolster the strong relations between India and Mali.  

The Iftar event was a wonderful opportunity for guests to connect, build partnerships, and strengthen ties between India and Mali. The evening featured warm Indian hospitality, a blend of Indian and Malian dishes, and was appreciated by all for making the Iftar a memorable evening.
